Odoo POS Android Device Integration Layer consists of an Odoo add-on and a separate Android app. The add-on activates extra hardware support in Odoo POS, while the Android app launches Odoo POS on a supported cash register device so that standard Odoo POS functionality and offline support continue to work correctly.
The solution is intended for cases where a regular browser is no longer enough for a physical cash register device. The Android app is linked to a specific Odoo POS configuration, so the user does not need to choose the correct POS manually when starting work. It also helps use supported device printers, cash drawers, scanners and customer displays as part of a more controlled POS process.
The module provides:
- support for additional printers;
- support for RJ12 cash drawers;
- support for camera-based scanning;
- Odoo customer display adjustments for the customer display of the specific device;
- device and POS pairing so that the POS opens with the correct Odoo configuration.
Tested hardware is listed in the separate additional information section. Esrap ensures that Android POS bundles ordered from the Esrap e-shop are supported through this module. If a specific model is not listed separately in the additional information section, Esrap will confirm and provide support for that model after the device has been ordered and tested.
